How do I prevent tomato wilt, or is there a medicine that I could use to treat it?

Based on the information in your question, it's a bit difficult to diagnose the cause of the wilting -- if they are seedlings, it may be that they have grown enough to need to be transplanted to larger pots and are simply wilting for lack of water. If you are talking about tomatoes in the garden, there are several causes for wilt (beides lack of water) including diseases such as fusarium and verticillium. These can be avoided by planting only resistant varieties, by rotating your tomatoes on at least a three year cycle and by being very careful to clean up the garden and destroy all tomato plant trash in the fall as well as during the growing season.
