The Q&A Archives: Wild flower seed needed per square foot

Question: How much wildflower seed is needed to start a 1000 square foot wildflower garden?

Answer: Seeding rate varies somewhat with the species planted. Most wildflower mixes suitable to the southeastern U.S. should be planted at a rate of 1/2 pound per 1,000 square feet to get maximum results.
