Spearmint, as well as other members of the Mentha family, grow best from stem cuttings or root division. Most of the seeds they produce are sterile. If you have access to a spearment plant, take a stem cutting and root it in water, or dig the plant up and take a small portion of roots with a stem attached and replant it. Spearmint grows best in full sunshine in average, well-draining soil. |
