Because of your mild climate, your selection is limited, but both blackberries and blueberries can be successfully grown in your region. Choose Sharpblue, an early spring bearing blueberry that does not need a pollinator. If you have room for more than one plant, Bluebelle and Southland will pollinate each other. Blackberry cultivars that will bear in your area inclued Marionberry or Boysenberry.
