Pets Using My Garden As a Liyter Box - Knowledgebase Question

I have caught my neighbors cat spraying my plants...and using other areas of my flower garden as a litter box...Any suggestions?? ...Something that won't harm them...but keep them away...

Although it's a long shot, maybe your neighbor would keep the cat indoors? Apart from that or building a cage around your garden, there isn't a lot you can do except try to deter them. Some gardeners report success using the commercial animal repellents such as "Get Away" (available in garden centers and by mail from suppliers such as Burpee 800-888-1447) or home made garlic and/or pepper based sprays applied to the garden. Still others report success using thorny branches or wire mesh to make the beds less hospitable and finally, some report that a pet dog can be helpful in discouraging visiting cats.
