Each year when the corn is ripping, I've been visited by corn eating squirrels. I have never seen them actually pull the husk down and eat the kernels, but I've seen them in the garden regularly. I also have spoken to another fellow gardener who admits to having this problem. What can be done to rid these dastardly creatures of their corn loving ways ?

You can try different methods -- dashing some tobasco or cayenne on the silks, or commercially available repellents. Then there are nets and electric mesh fencing that some gardeners have to resort to. If only you could get a bird of prey to nest in a nearby tree, you'd be all set! Best of luck!
