| A friend has a beautiful plant by the common name of "Blackberry Lily". It is an orange flowered plant that stays in bloom all summer with small blackberry seeds in the fall. Is it possible to start my own plant from the blackberries. (I think these are the seeds?) If so, can I start from seed now and how would I do it? |
| Blackberry Lily (Belamcanda) is a great plant and you can start it from seed. (It should germinate slowly at 68 degrees following normal seed starting procedures.) The easiest way is to let the plant do it for you. If the "blackberries" (the seeds) are left on the plant and allowed to fall nearby, they will germinate naturally and you will have new small plants the following year. |
