I purchased a 'Gold Flame' Honeysuckle last fall and planted it in its dormant state - it has absolutely no growth on it and I'm wondering if it's still too early or if chances are that its dead??? Please help! I keep babying it, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all.

Generally you would expect to see some signs of life by mid spring. However, even if the top has winter killed, it is still quite possible for the plant to resprout from the roots. I would wait a little longer before being too worried. Do be careful, though, that you are not overwatering or overfertilizing it -- either of these can do more harm than good.
