I want to know of a slow growing tree which will be planted on the west side, outside my kitchen window. I live in Central New Jersey. |
The following trees grow less than 10" per year, and reach a mature height of less than 20': Fagus grandifolia (American Beech), Fagus sylvatica (European Beech), Aesculus pavia (Red Buckeye), Cornus mas (Corneliancherry Dogwood), Cornus kousa (Flowering Dogwood), Carya ovata (Shhagbark Hickory), Syringa reticulata (Japanese Lilac Tree), Acer palmatum (Japanese Maple), Quercus stellata (Post Oak), and Viburnum sieboldii (Siebold Viburnum). Hope these suggestions help you find just the right tree for your yard. |
