There are so many choices for evergreen hedges, it's difficult to vote for just one plant! But, for an attractive, care-free hedge, consider Viburnum tinus, Escallonia, Glossy Abelia, or Grewia occidentalis (Lavender Starflower). Each of these plants will provide spring to early summer color and interesting berries in the fall.
