I want to plant a row of thick shrubbery for privacy along a property line. The area never has direct sun. What
plant do you suggest?

In the shade it will be very difficult to get any shrub to be thick and dense. If you can do anything to brighten the area, it would help make your screen thicker.

An excellent plant for this purpose is the Southern Wax Myrtle, an evergreen shrub that tolerates a wide variety of soils and can grow tall enough to make an excellent screen plant.
