I set out 6 flowering gazanias two weeks ago (April 23/99). They were doing well, albeit slowly, because it's still coolish here in E TN. Yesterday, I went out to discover that all 6 (they were in containers) had been eaten down to the soil level... leaves, flowers, stems.

We are surrounded by woods and our yard is frequented by squirrels and rabbits, as well as fly-in crows on occasion.

I just wondered what critters like to munch on gazanias. TIA.

Although I have not personally seen a bunny eat a gazania, I am sure a rabbit is a possible culprit based on your description of the damage. Although you did not mention them, woodchuck and deer also eat things that way, as do goats.
