I just got an above ground pool an I want to landscape around it. Any suggestions on what types of plants, shrubs, flowers, etc. I can use and not worry about chlorine damaging them?

An important consideration when landscaping around a pool is choosing plants that will not create a lot of litter to foul the water. A second consideration is tolerance of chlorinated water that might be splashed onto the foliage. Some shrubs that fit both considerations include Juniper, Lavender, and Viburnum davidii. Perennials include Agapanthus (Lily-of-the-Nile), Armeria (Thrift), Canna, Colocasia (Elephant's Ear), Coreopsis, Gazania, Daylily, Kniphofia uvaria (Red-Hot Poker), Yucca, Phormium, and Limonium.
