The Q&A Archives: Growing Bleeding Heart

Question: I would like to know if the Bleeding Heart plant would do well in this area?

Answer: Dicentra, or Bleeding Heart, does well in zones 3-9, but suffers during hot summers. To grow in your area, provide part shade, and light, rich, moist soil. After the plant finishes blooming, cut the foliage down to the ground.
