| I received a beautiful plant but there are no instructions about the care for it. The only clue I have is the name "Streptocarpella" - blue that is on a marker that is stuck in the soil of the plant container. I have put this name in an inquiry in plant dictionaries and no one can tell me anything about it. Please help. I don't know where to hang the plant or how oven it requires water, etc. |
| Streptocarpella is a form of Streptocarpusx hybridus and like other gesneriads, does well in moderate temperatures, ample humidity (but avoid wetting the foliage) and shade to part shade. It is often grown in hanging baskets outdoors for the summer and then can be brought indoors to overwinter as a houseplant under conditions similar to those appreciated by African violets.
