The Q&A Archives: Tomatoes losing blossoms

Question: I would like to know why my tomatoes are losing the blossoms? I water them every two days when the temps. are 100 degs. I have fertilized them twice since planting them in March. They get about 7 hours of full sun .They are not that bushy for tomatoes.

Answer: Tomatoes balk at turning flowers into fruits when temps get above 90 degrees. And watering every two days or fertilizing doesn't help the blossom drop. Put down a mulch of some fluffy organic product and wait until the temps drop below 90.
