In part of my backyard, near the house, the grass is not growing but moss is. I was wondering if there is a certain grass that would grow in such a moist & shady area? Or what ground cover could I plant there that will come up yearly and will thrive in my region? |
Grass generally will not grow well in a moist and shady area, so another groundcover would be a better idea. There are a number of perennial plants you could try. Lily-of-the-valley, sweet woodruff, hosta, ajuga, lamium, English ivy, pachysandra and periwinkle (creeping vinca minor) would all grow happily there. The last three are evergreen, the rest are not. |
