The Q&A Archives: When to start planting in Wisconsin

Question: I would like to begin my garden from seeds this year but can you tell me when I can begin growing them for spring planting in Southeastern Wisconsin. I don't want to start them too early or too late. Tom Jensen Elkhorn, WI

Answer: The last average date of frost in your neck of the woods is from May 10-20 (approximately). The seed packet should tell you how many weeks before the last frost to start the seeds.
