| Plants don't usually change their flower colors, but there are a few exceptional cases. Some yellow flowered rhododendrons can produce seemingly white flowers if the plants receive too much sunshine. It's possible for your formerly red flowering hibiscus to produce pinkish-red flowers for the same reason. Another possibility is that your plant needs feeding. Try broadcasting a granular fertilizer (an 8-8-8 formulation) over the soil near the base of the plant, or feeding with a liquid fertilizer. Feeding may very well put that rosy-red color back into the blooms. |
