I have a newly planted bald cypress and the tips on some of the leaves are turning brown. Could this be from too much water or possibly not enough? |
Both could cause this symptom, as could fertilizer burn, which often happens when a dry, granular fertilizer is placed in the planting hole. A new transplant will often suffer stresses and exhibit such symptoms until it has had a chance to put down a good, extensive root system to support itself. Try to keep the root ball moist without making it soggy for long periods of time. Gradually wet a larger area to accommodate the growing roots. |
