Question: Can you please tell me when is it the best time to grow sunflowers? I live in New Jersey,and what month is the best time to grow them and who long will they last? Kathy Caruso Odi, NJ

Answer: Sunflowers are best seeded in New Jersey in mid May. If you get the multibranching types such as Sunrise' and'Sunset', they should flower all season long once they start in midsummer.
