When does one know the right time to harvest peas and do the plants continue to produce after the pods are picked off?

Taste test! I don't think there's any right or wrong time--it just depends on how you like to eat them. Some people prefer them "young" when the pods are flatter and the peas are extremely tender. Others prefer the pods when they are fully plump from larger seeds. Most of the peas in my household don't make it into the house anyway--they go straight into the picker's mouth! As long as your plant continues to flower, it will produce pods. Enjoy!
