I am late getting started with my garden and was wondering what kinds of vegetables I could still plant. Most of the ones I had in mind are ones that require early spring planting.

You can still plant long-season vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cauliflower, etc.) if local garden centers or nurseries sell the transplants. Otherwise you can start most from seed: beans, lettuce, spinach, beets, carrots, potatoes, summer squash, some winter squash, early muskmelons, cucumbers, early corn, radishes, onions from sets. It may be too late to start peas, since they prefer to grow in cool weather of spring. You can start broccoli from seed the first week of July for a fall crop. Enjoy!
