What do you do when California poppies get tall and leggy? Can they be cut back?

Eschscholzia, or California Poppy, can grow 1'-2' tall. To keep them looking attractive, deadhead frequently. You can cut back the spent flowering stalks and the plants should rebloom later in the season.
