After the peanut plant blooms and the pegs grow out, should we pull a little dirt up around them to help them become established?

The pegs will grow long enough to penetrate the soil so you shouldn't have to mound any soil up around them. Make sure that the soil beneath the developing peg will be easy for it to grow into. (Break up the surface of the soil just to make sure.)
