| I just purchased a Honeycrisp Apple Tree, dwarf, which is about 6 feet tall and transplanted it from the pot into my yard. It had about 12 blossoms on it. Am I supposed to remove the blossoms this year so the tree can get established, or is it okay to leave them on? |
| There are no hard and fast rules about removing blossom buds on new apple trees. Young trees don't always carry their fruit to maturity, so don't be surprised if the newly forming apples just fall off on their own. I'd leave the blossoms alone and let the tree decide whether it's mature enough to develop fruit. |
