I purchased a Lonicera tatarica(Arnold red)which I found out is a honeysuckle. Could you give me some information on where it would be best planted, will it climb, or be more of a bushy plant? In sun or out? I can't get alot on this particular plant. What about winter care? (I'm in zone 6.) |
The Tatarian Honeysuckle grows 10'-12' in height with a 10' spread. The general habit is upright, strongly multi-stemmed with the upper branches arching and the overall effect of a solid, twiggy mass. The foliage is bluish green in summer and the flowers appear in May. 'Arnold Red' is considered one of the best cultivars because it has the darkest red flowers of any honeysuckle. Your plant is hardy from zones 3-8 so no special winter care is required. |
