The Q&A Archives: Spiders on Roses

Question: I have little spiders on our roses, we are new
to roses this year. What can I safely do to rid
my roses of these spiders mites??

Answer: The best thing to do is hose them off with a blast of water every morning before the sun gets hot. Don't spray during the day (salts in the water can burn the leaves) and late in the afternoon (cooler temperatures and water can promote fungal diseases). Do it daily until you get them under control. The humidity will help your roses too! Thanks for writing!
