The Q&A Archives: Baby corn

Question: I am wanting to grow baby corn in my garden. I understand that is a sweet corn which is harvested early. The comercial production seems to be all in Thailand. Is there a variety which will work here? David Warmke New Braunfels, TX

Answer: You're right in that baby corn is just corn (sweet or others), harvested early. There are varieties that are better at producing multiple ears, and so more baby corns per stalk. The following nursery carries some, Nichols Garden Nursery 1190 No. Pacific Highway Albany, OR 97321 541-928-9280
