How long do gazanias live? I planted some about a month and a half ago, and they have new buds but the actual blooms are dying fast. Also, how often do they need to be watered, and do they need shade, full sun or what?

Gazanias are robust perennials in warmer climates, so they should last all summer when planted as annuals. These plants need full sun and appreciate heat and humidity. They also need a well drained (even a sandy) soil, so be careful not to overwater them if your soil is heavy. They grow quite large when happy and can fill a large container.
