I have two very healthy rhododendron, no insects, no apparent disease problem, gorgeous leaves, no blooms. The two shrubs are in shade, get about 3 hours of sun a day. The shrubs are now 8 years old, 6 feet tall, very robust looking. I feed them with Hollytone in April, they get water 3 times a week from an automated system. I have not cut them back so far. |
Based on your description, I am stumped, with the possible exception that they need more sun than they are getting. You might try comparing their light conditions with those of other plants you know bloom and see if you think that might be it. If so, you could consider moving them to a brighter location. |
