Planted a packet of your Scarlet Runner Beans several weeks ago. They were doing nicely (4" high, first set of true leaves)until this morning when I caught "Peter Rabbit" licking his chops and the beans plants minus all their leaves. Will my bean sticks recover and put out new leaves? Or do I need to start over again? (This time with a chicken wire fence!!)

Scarlet runners produce lots of vines from a single plant, but if your little seedlings have lost their leaves, they've probably lost the growing tip. Rather than take a chance, I think I'd replant. Just pop a seed into the ground midway between the original plants. If they all grow, so much the better. If the nibbled plants wither away, you'll barely miss them. By the way, chicken wire hoops or fences are good barriers for bunnies!
