I have just planted impatiens in my rectangular flower boxes and so far they are growing fine. My question is I would like to plant a "border" of flowers around the impatients and I am not sure what flower does well as a border with impatiens- i.e. has the same growing conditions and has nice color

My favorite Impatiens companion is Lobelia, especially the dark blue flowering variety. Viola is another low-growing plant with dainty flowers that thrives under the same conditions as Impatiens and Lobelia.
