The Q&A Archives: Clover Is Invading Our Lawn

Question: Clover is invading our lawn in Connecticut. How can I get rid of it?

Answer: Give your lawn a good feeding in fall and mow it higher (up to 3 inches tall, regularly, and with sharp blades. Stressing the lawn by mowing it low or ripping it with dull blades only makes it less competitive with the clover which thrives on low-mowingand low-nitrogen conditions.
