I am looking for a viburnum that has both fragrant flowers and attractive fall foliage. Most of the more fragrant species that I have identified seem to be less colorful in the fall. Are there any that are both? Fragrance and longer lasting flowers are a priority over fall color. Any suggestions?

Your choices for fragrant flowers include Viburnum bodnantense, V. burkwoodii 'Chenault', V. carlcephalum, V. carlesii, V. farreri and V. juddii. Of these deciduous shrubs, burkwoodii has purplish leaves in cold weather, but the remainder of the Viburnums seem to concentrate on fragrance only. Hope this information helps you decide which Viburnum to plant!
