The Q&A Archives: Sea Holly

Question: Should you trim a sea holly (blue flowers) and can the flowers be dried?

Answer: You can cut back the fading flowers and stems on Eryngium (Sea Holly), or allow them to remain on the plant. The petals will fall from the flower leaving a cone-shaped center, which is sometimes dried and used in arrangements.
