Something is eating my Asiatic lily plants leaves and flowers. I found a small hard back shell beetle on one and there are small dark blobs that look like dirty slugs on the plants. Do you know what these are and how I can treat for them? |
There are so many beetles, it's difficult to identify the pest by your description. However, the glistening black blobs on the leaves of your plants are probably Pear Slugs. They have a tadpole shape and they feed on leaf surfaces with their raspy mouth parts. They are commonly found on pear and cherry tree leaves. Hose the pests off the leaves to control - they won't be able to crawl back on. |
