Will hosta plants grown in my sister's yard in Omaha, NE survive being transplanted in north central Texas (zone 7) this fall? |
Hostas as a general rule are not well adapted to Texas. However, if you give them a dappled shade location, a rich soil with lots of composted bark added, and moist but not soggy conditions they will likely do very well for you. If on the other hand you don't give them the above three growing conditions they will not make the first year. |
