| Both tulip and narcissus are tolerant to juglone, the growth inhibiting chemical from walnut trees. Other bulbs considered tolerant are hyacinth and grape-hyacinth. The most sensitive bulbs are autumn crocus and lily. Avoid these and your spring flowering bulb garden should thrive. |
