I have a 10'x20' hoop greenhouse with wood wall 10'ends. To extend the vegetable growing season how should I place the hoop house? Should the long 20' axis go along a East-West or North-South line? I live in PA.

Although it would seem that the orientation of the greenhouse should be most important with regard to light, in practice that is not the case. Instead, prevailing wind is a more important consideration. (Assuming your greenhouse will be in full sun.) You will want to minimize wind exposure and by all means set the doors so the hinges swing away from the wind rather than into it.
