| While the rest of my garden thrives, my pepper plants are just eeking an existance. The plants are stunted and any new leaves on that the plants put out, are wrinkled and have yellow splotches on them. I don't believe that it is due to insect damage in that I don't see any insects on them? Is it some sort of disease or nutrient deficiency? |
| Based on your description it sounds like they are infected with mosaic just as tomatoes can be. This is carried by physical transmission (eg on your hands or by potato aphids). Infected plants should be removed and destroyed and tools and hands should be washed with soap and water or milk, remaining plants can be sprayed with milk as a preventive. Then be careful to rotate your peppers, tomatoes and eggplants away from that spot. Also, be careful to clean up and remove any plant debris this fall to try to avoid spreading it further. |
