| I asked a question last week about my tomato plants, looking healthy and producing flowers but no tomatoes. My response was one cause could be pollination or lack of it. While discussing this with my neighbor he reminded me that he had a lot of blossoms on his cherry tree in the spring and no cherries. We both have no zucchini just flowers. My pepper plants look like dwarfs and are not growing. He has some tomatoes and peppers and I have a bumper crop of cucumbers. Our gardens are just a few feet apart. Last fall we found two nests of either wasps or bees in a shrub between our homes. It was quite large and in the shape of a sphere. In any case my neighbor removed and distroyed them. Could this be the reason for lack of fruit? How would you account for the inconsistency of his tomatoes and my cucumbers? Is there any way to correct the problem before its to late? |
