I have spent the past few weeks searching for tall white or ivory cannas with no success. None of my gardening books indicate this to be a rare or unusual color. Do you have any suggestions or sources you could recommend? Why is this such a difficult color to find?

Unfortunately, as far as I know, cannas are still only available in the orange/red/pink/yellow range, with other colors not yet developed. If you need a white to bloom in the same growing conditions and size range in high summer, you might consider dahlias which have been a traditional accompaniment to cannas.
