I am in a new house with beautiful Rose of Sharon plants in my backyard. A week ago, I noticed that the leaves appeared to be thinning. Upon investigation, I found green caterpillars up to 2 inches long, munching away. What are they, and how do I get rid of them? |
It could well be the larvae of the abutilon moth. If they are too numerous to hand pick, then spray them with Dipel or Thuricide (brand name products containing Bt, an organic insecticide), mixed and applied as specified on the product label. Best of luck! |
