| I have about 2 1/2 rows of corn. I am not sure if that is enough to pollinate eachother. How do I go about self pollination? |
| Corn performs better when it's planted in blocks rather than rows, because falling pollen has a better chance of fully pollinating the silks when the plants are growing in a tight group. Since your corn is in rows, you might want to cut a few of the ripe tassels from the stalks and shake them over the silks. As soon as you detect a light dusting of the yellow pollen on the leaves of the plants, cut the tassels off and shake them over the silks protruding from the ears on each of the stalks.
