The Q&A Archives: Tips on Grape Planting

Question: I have some questions on grape planting. When is the best time to plant them -- March or April or any other month? Do you have any suggestions about seedless grapes for the Atlanta, GA area?

Answer: The best time to plant grapes in Georgia is spring (March or April) as soon as the ground is dry enough to work. Some nice varieties for the South include 'Concord', 'Himrod' and 'Venus' all available through, Johnson Nursery Rt 5, Box 29-J Ellijay, GA 30540 888-276-3187
