The Q&A Archives: Source for Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia)

Question: In 1996, I purchased a combination pack of Burpee seeds that contained "Mexican Sunflowers." I have been unable to find them this year and was wondering if they have another name. I would also like to know their scientific name. They were absolutely gorgeous and I would really like some more! Thanks for your help. Jane Heitsenrether Somers Point, NJ

Answer: The Mexican sunflower is Tithonia and it's available on page 45 of the 1997 catalog.
