I bought oriental lily bulbs at a sale in July, is it OK to plant them now, or should I wait till early spring?

Although they might not seem like it, bare bulbs are living things. You should plant them immediately -- but be aware that there is a chance they may not do well for you now that they have been sitting around for so long. The best time to plant these bulbs is in the fall, followed by early spring, just as soon in the season as they become available so that they are fresh.
