The Q&A Archives: Books on Insects

Question: I was hoping that you could suggest some good books on insects. I have the Audubon society book on insects and spiders (which someone suggested from this site). Are there any other good books that you can suggest? Thanks in advance!

Answer: There are two more books with excellent pictures and descriptions of insects, plus how to deal with them in the garden. Rodale's Garden Insect, Disease & Weed Identification Guide, by Miranda Smith and Anna Carr, is published by Rodale Press. ISBN# 0-87857-758-0, is one. The second is The Healthy Garden Handbook, published by Fireside, ISBN# 0-671-65788-7. Either or both are terrific reference books for serious gardeners and budding entomologists!
