My hen and chicks have never bloomed, this year I have a large bloom sort of tree shaped. What happened to bless me with this??

Congratulations on the new arrival! Your Echeveria is so happy it's developing a flowering stem. If insects visit the blossoms, the flowers will produce seed and you can have a whole garden full of hens and chicks. Of course, the plant reproduces readily without having to resort to seeds, but just in case you're interested, you can save and plant the seeds.
